From Donuts to Delirium

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know about Oprah’s Favourite Things. This was her last major giveaway show, and there were most definitely some awesome gifts as well as some not so awesome ones (ehem… lasagna pan anyone? Frozen mac and cheese???). The thing that cracks me up though, are the absolutely manic audience members. The Oprah’s Favourite Things Show is  the equivalent of going to Monkey Jungle during feeding time. Tune in and you will see hysterical adults jumping up and down, you can watch grown men cry (literally!), and you can see women pulling out their hair. Okay, yes, I am crazy jealous that I didn’t get one of those cute Volkswagen Beetles. Well, even though I didn’t get an adorable new car, I learned something: how to act pleased when your aunty gives you an ugly scarf LOL. I’m going to jump around like an idiot and scream “waaaaaaaaaaaaa.” Yep, I am going to freak out, totally.

I’ve come up with a list of my own. No need to pee your pants daaahlings, cause I’m not giving anything away. This is just a list for Mr. P to let him know what I want (and of course, if you guys want to get me anything, do feel free, by all means!).  The following are the top five things that I want this year.

1. On the top of my list this year, I must have a trunk monkey. I don’t even drive daaaaaahlings, but I NEED this monkey. It’s cute, and it kicks ass! I’ve already decided, his name is going to be BoBo. I am going to dress him up in loads of cute little outfits.

2. I would also like one of these personalized Louis Vuitton bags. Look Mr P, my sweetykins… I’ve already designed it (and you can design one too, my dear readers!).

3. Another gift I love to get are super expensive “bathing beauty” products. I love taking baths, especially bubble baths. It is pure luxury, without the calories. I find bathing an amazing way to relax when I am stressed out or feeling a bit run down. When you know your bath products cost an arm and a leg, it is even more relaxing (go figure!).

4. Lately I’ve been focusing on bedroom furniture. Our room needs a makeover. I saw this amazing chest of drawers by Poldo Como one day at the Conran Shop and totally fell in love. I think it is absolutely to die for. It’s Marie Antoinette for the 21st Century– it is just so me! I think the colour is beyond divine, and the shiny lacquered finish is so opulent. There is also a mind bogglingly stunning mirror that you can buy with it. I can just imagine how many hours of pure happiness I could spend in front of it, fluttering my lashes and admiring my own beauty while I perform my evening beauty rituals.

5. Murray’s Bagels filled with all the good stuff! Oh god, I miss them!!!!

Some people say it’s better to give than to receive. Don’t believe it for a second my dears.  What kind of presents are you hoping for this year? Tell me, I want to know (I might have to add them on to my list).
