Simple Spring Inspired Macs

Hello daaaaaahlings, it’s that time of the month again… no, not THAT time, Mac tweets time! This time the theme is Spring. I must admit, we have been having some rare sunshine in this neck of the woods, so maybe it’s true. Maybe spring is really just around the corner! That would be so wonderful. I would just love having a little picnic outside with my darling Mr P. We haven’t done that in ages. One thing cool about the people of England is that they really know how to enjoy good weather. As soon as the sun comes out, everyone goes out for a walk. All the baby strollers get taken out, and everyone decides to soak up as much sun as they can in their gardens. The parks and the garden centres fill up with people. I love that. Well, I’m not going to put my winter coat away just yet. It’s still absolutely freezing.
Anyway, in hounour of the upcoming season, I have made lemon macarons for this month’s entry. I am still using David Lebovitz’s recipe (the one for the chocolate macarons, minus the cocoa of course and with the addition of a little food colouring). I’ve also got some Silpats now, which really simplify things. There is less mess, and if the macs are cooked correctly, they can just be popped right off when you bend the Silpat.
And okay, I’ve cheated. I am just using store bought lemon curd here. Oh, don’t scoff daaaaaahlings. I just didn’t want to have to clean up the kitchen for the millionth time. You know how it is, right? A housewife who stays in the kitchen all day can become a dull girl. I have things to do, and Mr P’s money to spend, ya know?

p.s. Thank you my dears for all your kind coments regarding the this nightmare I am having to handle with my blog. It really meant so much to me and cheered me up, because quite frankly I did become hysterical. You might have thought from the way that I carried on that someone close to me had died. Still, I am sure you have figured out by now that I can sometimes be a drama queen (no? really???).
I can tell you this much, I am not going to stop blogging. The thought crossed my mind, but in the end, I realize that by doing that I would only be hurting myself. I love it, and the interactions I have with you guys, too much. I know we have never met, but I feel like all of my readers are my friends, and I wouldn’t want to be without you.
Here’s what’s going to happen: I am keeping my address of http://www.donutstodelirium.com but I will be leaving Blogger.com. My blog is going to get a total beauty makeover :D , and is going to be amazing. It’s pretty exciting actually. This metamorphosis is going to take a few weeks I imagine, and I have high hopes for it. My blog baby is going to turn into a beautiful Dior couture wearing butterfly (as if it wasn’t already stunning ;) ). I will keep you updated with the changes as they happen. Just stay tuned daaaaahlings, I wouldn’t want to loose any one of you in the process.

p.s.s. Blogger.com: you freakin suck! Here’s a little parcel coming atcha’, say cheese:

What can I say?
Sometimes a housewife has to get her hands dirty.
