Alright daaaahlings, I know this is going to shock you, but today there is going to be a healthy recipie *gasps of shock-horror*. You see, Moi is on a quest. A quest that may never come to be, but a quest, nonetheless. What is it? Well, its the supermodel quest of course. I know my body shape, and I know I am never going to be stick thin (which is totally fine with me, because that’s not what I aspire to). Still, my figure has been undergoing a bit of neglect and I really need to reign myself in a bit: “Whoah Piggy!”
Easy Peasy Hummus

Hummus is totally delish and incredibly versatile. Its healthy, its cheap and super yummy. I like it on a toasted onion bagels with thin slices of tomato; I like it in a pita with falafel, and I love it as a dip, or as part of a mezze (which is like a Middle Eastern style tapas). Though I usually buy hummus, today I thought I’d try my hand at making some. Actually, why not, I have all the ingredients… that rarely happens.
p.s. Don’t think this means there is not going to be loads of fatty treats being posted here. I just have to try and use “moderation”
. Doesn’t that word just kind of sound ugly? Kind of like “constipation” no?
Easy Peasy Hummus

1/4 to 1/2 teaspooon of cayenne pepper (optional)
2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice

In a food processor simply blitz all of the ingredients together (minus the reserved chickpeas and pine nuts). Keep blending until you get to your desired consistency. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.
