Harrods Chocolate Bar’s Brownie: Its Chocolate Crack

It was not that long ago that I was in Harrods (which is to me what Tiffany’s was to Holly Golightly) and I wanted a treat, but wasn’t sure what. I have been wanting to try out the Harrods Chocolate Bar. As usual, when presented with a menu, I want to try everything I can fit into my big fat cake hole. The only reason I ever stop myself is out of embarrassment. I agonized over the menu for a bit. Brownies aren’t usually my thing, but the description on the menu seemed compelling: “Double Chocolate and Nut Brownie, with warm chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.”
Looking around the small chocolate shop, I could actually see the brownies displayed on the counter. It looked nice and chunky with big pieces of walnuts in them (you know, I have terrible eye sight, so its funny that all of a sudden, when food is involved, I develop eagle eye vision).
It was simply fabulous. The brownie came in a pool of chocolate sauce. Normally I don’t like loads of sauce, it just feels kind of sloppy to me, but this time, that wasn’t the case. It was just fatty chocolate indulgence. It was covered in ice cream, and it was deliciously hot, which is what turned something that could have been okay, to something that was fantastic. It was soft, dense, and full of chocolatey goodness. It was everything a brownie should be, and the ice cream on top sealed the deal. Don’t forget to order some water with this one though, you will need it :D !
